Short Breaks Gate Entry at Alton Towers Resort

Platinum Passholders, we have good news! 

For the rest of the 2026 season, you can use whichever entrance gate you choose at the Alton Towers Resort. 

Want to head to Forbidden Valley first to ride Nemesis Reborn or Toxicator? Simply use the Short Breaks entrance to cut down on your walking time. 

Don't forget to have your Platinum Pass ready to scan, then enjoy your fantabulous day at the Resort.  

 

  • This is available to Platinum Passholders only. If you do not hold a valid Platinum Merlin Annual Pass, you will not be able to enter through the short breaks entrance, unless you have booked a short break. 
  • This is subject to availability, and we reserve the right to rescind this perk in the event of operational requirements.
  • This perk does not entitle you to Early Ride Time. The gate opens at 9:30. 

Can my Carer use the Short Break entrance with me? 

If you are a Platinum Passholder and you have a carer accompanying you with a valid essential companion ticket or carer pass, then they may accompany you. 

My children don’t have passes. Can they use the short break entrance with me?

If your children are under 0.9M then yes, they can use that entrance. If they are over 0.9M and they do not have a Platinum Pass, then they will not be able to use the short break entrance. 

I’m bringing a friend using my vouchers. Can they use the short break entrance?

No. This is a perk for Platinum Passholders only. Unless you have a Platinum Pass or a short break booking, you must use the main entrance.
