How Does it Work?

Simply use your Pass for your chance to win! When you make at least one pre-booked visit using your Merlin Annual Pass, you’ll automatically be entered into the end-of-the-month raffle. Then, we’ll hold a randomised draw and winners will be contacted via the email address associated with their Pass. It really is that simple!

What are the prizes?

To keep things fun, the prizes will change each month, but we’ll announce a selection of them first on social media to whet your appetite!

FAQ's

If your Pass did not scan and you had to be let in by a member of staff, you can email us at Loyalty@merlinentertainments.biz with your pre-book email attached, your Pass number, your full name and email address, plus evidence that you attended on the day. Evidence could be a receipt showing a purchase inside the attraction on the date of your prebook or a time & date stamped photo from your visit to the attraction. Other forms of evidence may be considered at the discretion of the Merlin Annual Pass team.  

IMPORTANT: Please only email us if you are certain your Pass did not scan.  

If you win a prize, we will contact you via the email address associated with your Merlin Annual Pass. This is the email address you used to purchase the Passes (unless you have changed your email address through the call centre.) Winners will be contacted between the 1st and 10th of each month.  

With parental/guardian consent anyone aged 16 or older may be entered into the lottery. However, some prizes will come with an age limit which means they can only be claimed by the appropriate age within the prize T&CS. If someone aged 16 or 17 wins a prize, their parent or guardian must reply to the Merlin Annual Pass team’s email to confirm they are willing for the under-aged Passholder to accept the prize.  

If you do not wish to be included in the free Passholder lottery then you can opt out by emailing loyalty@merlinentertainments.biz with your full name, Pass number, and email address.  

This will vary depending on the prize you win. Some prizes will need to be redeemed via email, whilst other prizes may be redeemed online or in person in the form of a voucher. Other prizes may be sent to you at the address associated with your Merlin Annual Pass. If your address has since changed, you must let us know when we email you about your win.  

Yes, each prize will come with individual terms and conditions, which will be made available before each draw. There will be a time limit to claim and redeem each prize among other T&Cs.  

Overview

  1. Sparks of Magic is a monthly prize draw for Merlin Annual Passholders, or Merlin Membership Passholders, with a valid Pass.    
  2. Those who meet the criteria outlined in these terms will be entered into a random prize draw to win one of one hundred and one (101) different prizes which will vary in each draw (see section 2).    
  3. A ‘Passholder’ is defined as a Merlin Annual Passholder, or Merlin Membership Passholder with a valid pass at the time of each separate draw and at the time of prize redemption. 

Prizes

  1.  There are one hundred and one (101) prizes in total each month. Prizes will be revealed (with their own T&CS) each month.

Conditions for entry/eligibility

The conditions for entry to the draw is as follows.:   

  • The Passholder will be randomly selected in a prize draw; they must have visited a Merlin Annual Pass attraction at least once during the proceeding month.   
  • The Passholder must be over the age of 18 years old, or over the age of 16 years old with their parent or guardians’ permission to enter.    
  • Passholders must have a valid Merlin Annual Pass both to enter the draw and to redeem the prize.   
  • Private events and closed days will not be classified as a visit. A valid visit requires Passholders to do both of the following:   
    • Pre-book a Passholder reservation ticket.   
    • Scan their Annual Pass upon entry during opening hours only.    
  • Every Merlin Annual Passholder, or Merlin Membership holder who visits a Merlin Annual Pass attraction is eligible and is automatically opted into the prize draws which they qualify for. No further action is needed by the Passholder to enter, however Passholders can withdraw themselves from the competition should they wish. If a Passholder would like to withdraw from the competition, they must email ‘loyalty@Merlinentertainments.biz’ using the subject line ‘Sparks of Magic withdrawal’, you will need to confirm your unique pass number and name associated with the pass in the email body.    

Entry Eligibility Rules

  1. Any Passholder judged to have broken Merlin Annual Pass terms and conditions at any Merlin Attraction will forfeit all entries into the Sparks of Magic draw. These are including but not limited to:   
    • An individual other than the Passholder attempting to use the Annual Pass   
    • Inappropriate conduct or breach of terms of entry    
    • Allowing or assisting a third party to attempt to gain unauthorised or improper access to any attraction.   
  2. Due to the nature of the prizes, all prizes are subject to the winner meeting all the necessary terms and conditions and ride requirements set by the manufacturer and by the attraction where the prize must be redeemed. These include (but not limited to), minimum height requirement, maximum waist and chest restrictions, minimum limb requirements etc. These restrictions will be confirmed and communicated via email and individual prize terms and conditions notices ahead of each month’s draw. Any instances where a winner may not meet these requirements will be assessed and appropriately dealt with on a case-by-case basis.   
  3. Winners will be contacted by email between the 1st and 10th of each month. They will be contacted via the email address connected to their Annual Pass.   
  4. Winners must respond within 5 working days, or they will forfeit the entire prize package.   
  5. All correspondence between the prize winner, guest(s) and MERLIN ANNUAL PASS Resort is strictly confidential unless otherwise stated by MERLIN ANNUAL PASS.  
  6. Merlin Annual Pass reserves the right to cancel, alter, or revoke the prize offering at any time and for any reason.    
  7. All Prizes are subject to availability and their individual terms and conditions.  
  8. This prize is offered by Merlin Attractions Operations Limited (Merlin) and is subject to Merlin's terms and conditions relating to Merlin Annual Pass.   
  9. Prizes are non-transferable, not for resale and there is no cash alternative.   
  10. If for any reason a prize is not available, Merlin Annual Pass reserves the right to substitute another item for it, in its sole discretion, of equal or higher value.   
  11. Merlin Annual Pass’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.   
  12. Merlin reserves the right to alter theses terms and conditions at any time and for any reason.
